OUR MISSION
TO SUPPORT THE CREATIVE WORK & EXPRESSION OF ANYONE
OVER THE AGE OF 50 WHO HAS EVER DREAMED OF ENRICHING
THEIR LIVES THROUGH THE ARTS.

Our Vision
The Krevolin Arts Foundation is a home for creative artists who want support as they learn and grow.
Our main purpose is to provide Artists in Residence programs -
both virtual and in house!
Yes, anyone who is over the age of 50 and dreamed
of becoming a visual artist,
playwright, screenwriter, non-fiction writer or novelist,
and wants the chance to
work under the tutelage of master teacher, Richard Krevolin, should apply to the foundation.

OUR PROGRAMMING

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCIES
Anyone over the age of 50 who's ever dreamed of
writing a book or movie or play can apply
to be selected for the artist-in-residence program to
focus on their work
while living in the K.A.F. headquarters,
a stunning Florida beach bungalow.
This includes a minimum of 10 hours of consulting a
week with Prof. Krevolin, with the potential
for a public performance of one's work at the
culmination of the residency.

(More info about these on the page entitled -- "residencies," and please note that at this time, we are in a fund-raising phase,
and there must be a fee for all artist residencies.)

VIRTUAL FELLOWSHIPS
Creatives in all media who can't come to Florida, but want to become artistic fellows of
the foundation should apply for our virtual consulting fellowships. As with the in-
house residency, this will include many hours of consultations and mentorship in
order to allow artists to develop their voices or a new project.

But who is this guy, Professor K.? And what the heck are people saying about him?

on writing I ever took. Many of the lessons he taught
me are still with me as some of the most important
elements of my writing process."

"Prof. Krevolin has a tremendous critical eye. Because of his
insightful and specific notes given while writing my first book,
DRIVING THE SAUDIS, quickly became a New York Times
Bestseller and a People Magazine Top Books Pick. He has a
thorough understanding of story elements and structure,
accompanied by a compassionate and generous nature --
and his ability to convey his knowledge is unsurpassed.
Don't send out a manuscript or screenplay without
consulting with him first!"

-- JAYNE AMELIA LARSON, author of the nonfiction New York Times
Bestseller, DRIVING THE SAUDIS (Simon & Schuster, 2012)

And a recent comment from a workshop attendee:
"I write to express my deepest and most enthusiastic gratitude to you for a most inspiring and deeply informative two day course in Screenwriting. Simply put - I had more fun under your tutelage than I have had in a long time.  Further, the knowledge you imparted will serve me well in any endeavor. I will never look at a film or ad in the same complacent way again.  The. Nuances you exposed for me to observe in the visual media are astonishing. I cannot wait to attend your seminar." -- Dr. Joel Franck, Workshop attendee

(Here is an excerpt from a recent article about KAF. Please read the whole thing on the Residency page.)
Residencies designed to help authors find and tell their stories within
During his 40-year career as an author, playwright, screenwriter and visual artist, Richard Krevolin realized a desire to help others with their creative endeavors. That epiphany led to his successful ventures as a brand narrative consultant and legal consultant in the corporate and legal worlds, but also as a teacher and story doctor.
After a big move he’s now focused almost exclusively on mentoring older creative folks.  A few years ago, Krevolin moved his home base from California – where he had taught USC and UCLA film schools – to Sarasota County, Florida, near beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches, and established the Krevolin Arts Foundation, a 501(c)(3) and placed the focus on virtual consulting and in-house mentoring of writers and would-be authors. He targeted his audience of clients on men and women ages 50 and older.
“I started the foundation because my whole life I’ve been working with fellow artists and I think I have a gift to mentor and support fellow artists,” Krevolin said. “As a result of this work and moving to Florida, I’ve realized there is a need, especially among seniors, who are mentioned in our mission, who have worked their whole lives and have always dreamed of telling stories but don’t know where they can find help to do so. I’ve made it my mission – and the mission of the Foundation – to help seniors to tell their stories and share those stories with the world.”
